NBSC TACKLES KEY INSTITUTIONAL MATTERS DURING 1ST QUARTER JAAC MEETING
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) convened the Joint Administrative and Academic Council (JAAC) for its 1st Quarter Regular Meeting on March 6, 2026, at the NBSC Boardroom and via Zoom. Members of the Administrative and Academic Councils gathered to discuss key institutional matters, including several items for approval and endorsement to the Board of Trustees (BOT).
Among the matters discussed were proposals and initiatives related to financial, administrative, and academic concerns. These included:
• Request for Endorsement for BOT Approval of the Reconstitution of the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) Members;
• Request for Endorsement for BOT Approval of the Official Foreign Travel of the 8 NBSC Personnel to participate in the 8th Asia Future Conference (AFC8) in Japan on August 25–29, 2026;
• Request for Endorsement for BOT Approval for the Policy on the Utilization and Management of Income Generated;
• Request for Approval of the Proposed Indigenous Culture and Creative Innovation Hub Operations Policy;
• Request for Endorsement for BOT Approval of the Research Agendas of the Institute for Business Management (IBM) and the Institute for Teacher Education (ITE);
• Request for Endorsement for BOT Approval of the First Semester, AY 2025–2026 Candidates for Graduation;
• Request for Approval of the AY 2026–2027 School Calendar; and
• Request for Approval of the Online Enrollment System.
Under Other Matters, the council also deliberated on the following proposals:
• Request for Approval to Conduct Assessment Summit 2026; and
• Request for Approval of the NBSC Child Minding Center Policy.
The councils likewise reviewed several Matters for Confirmation, including:
• Resolution No. 001, s. 2026 – Expressing appreciation to Hon. Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Manolo Fortich for the ongoing implementation of the project, “Installation of Twenty (20) Units of Solar-Powered Street Lights at Barangay Tankulan from the Highway to the Road Going to NBSC”;
• Resolution No. 002, s. 2026 – Endorsing the approval of the CY 2027 Budget Proposal to the Board of Trustees; and
• Resolution No. 003, s. 2026 – Approving and adopting the guidelines, mechanics, and criteria for judging for the NBSC 21st Foundation Anniversary Celebration.
Through regular council meetings such as the JAAC, NBSC continues to review institutional proposals, endorse key initiatives, and keep stakeholders informed of developments that support the college’s programs, policies, and overall institutional operations.
